About the Black Dirt Feast

The Fifteenth Annual Pine Island Chamber Black Dirt Feast will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The feast features an extraordinary outdoor farm-to-table banquet created by award-winning chefs who have established long-term relationships with farmers throughout the region, known for the diversity in their crops and their emphasis on sustainability.

Guests are seated Tuscan style at long tables under a handsome new pavilion at Social Island in the Heart of the Black Dirt Region. Service is provided by volunteers from Warwick Valley High School, accented by wildflowers with a spectacular sunset view accompanied by live music from regional jazz musicians.

Our new menu format will feature passed appetizers during a. cocktail hour, salad and soup from local farms with a featured Pasta course created by Pasta d’ Oro at the Jolly Onion, followed by your choice of entrée, beef, poultry or vegetarian created by award-winning chefs from the Black Dirt Region. Dessert is once again featured from Heather the Laker Baker.

Funds from the Feast will support the Black Dirt Scholarship Fund with 3 scholarships of $1500 each to local graduates, along with support for five local food pantries. Over the past fifteen years, the Feast has generated over $60,000 in scholarship funds and donations.
