About: Raymond and Gary Glowaczewski know all about what it takes to be a farmer in the Black Dirt Region of Pine Island/Goshen. They’ve been farming here all their lives. After working for the family onion farm since they were little boys, they decided to break out on their own and try their hand at growing all types of greens and vegetables. Taking the knowledge they learned from their father and grandfathers, in 1998 they branched out on their own and started R & G Produce, LLC.

Ray and Gary grow an assortment of vegetables, onions and now mixed salad greens on 400 acres of Black Dirt. These days you can find them both out in the fields or in the workshops maintaining their fleet of trucks for their business, Glow Boyz Trucking, LLC. These brothers are hands on whether it is in the fields or at the farmers’ markets that they sell at.

The farmers’ markets they participate in locally are Warwick and Monroe, but they also do markets in Westchester, Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Their many loyal customers return year after year because they know the quality of the vegetables is superb. Ray and Gary feel their customers deserve the best and they make sure they get the best.
