Pine Island Chamber’s annual Pumpkinfest – Oct. 8
The event – On Columbus Day, Mon., Oct. 8, the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce will host and sponsor Pumpkinfest, a family friendly event especially for kids. The fun-filled afternoon of activities, is held at Pine Island Town Park (Kay Road off County Rte1) from 11 am-3 pm. Cost is $5 for participating children. The day features pumpkin painting, face and henna painting, crafts, a bouncy house, games, activities, touch-a-tractor, entertainment, refreshments and much more.
Volunteers needed – High School volunteers, at least 14 years old, are needed to work with children playing various games, organizing events and supervising. The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce will arrange for school service credit. We also need adults to assist in the day’s activities. Volunteers are asked to be at Pine Island Park at 9 am. Pumpkinfest Princess Pageant applicants wanted by Oct. 1 – The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Pine Island Pumpkinfest Princess Pageant. Is your child outgoing and willing to mingle and greet children at Pumpkinfest? Send your child’s name, address and phone number to email@example.com or call 845-258-7008. Contestants must live in the Town of Warwick and be between 6-10 years old. The deadline for applying is Oct 1. The Pumpkinfest Committee will randomly draw names of five finalists one week prior to Pumpkinfest. Finalists need to be at Pumpkinfest, where we will draw the fourth, third, second and first runner up and then, the name of the 2018 Pumpkinfest Princess. All runners up will be part of the Pumpkinfest Princess Court.
